Aside from this, residential stair chair lifts provide a variety of uses, not only for the wheelchair-bound family member but also for those with no physical limitations. A residential stair chair lift can also be used to carry laundry, groceries or luggage from one floor to another with just a push of a button. More features are now available for residential stair chair lift such swivel seats which can turn away from the stairs, stair chair lifts that are operated with a remote-control and/or the addition of a folding track placed at the lower landing to save space. Residential chair stair lifts do not need special wiring because they are just simply plugged into an ordinary home wall socket. They can also be placed on either side of the staircase, wherever the household owner prefers to place one.

So why have a residential chair stair lift installed at home?

Most people who can’t always be by the side of their wheelchair-bound loved one are relieved of concern about their safety and comfort when they know that they can manage to go about the home easily especially when they need to go up and down the stairs – all of these without the risk of falling down the stairs.

Residential stair chair lifts are also cost-efficient especially when the stairs become a challenge. Instead of having another room added to the first floor or purchasing a one-story home, having just a residential stair chair lift installed becomes a more economical choice. They can also be used by ambulatory members of the family who wishes to transfer items such as laundry, groceries and luggage up and down the staircase making it not only useful for handicapped members of the family. Above all, a residential stair chair lift can be placed on any kind of stairs at any time!
