There are three basic features that are common with all the Minivator stair lift series. The first feature is the swivel seat. This means that upon arrival at the top landing the seat is facing the landing by controlling the lever for the user’s control.

For the Simplicity model- 950 The seat has manual levers so that it can swivel each can be found on the right and left portion. To use the lever the user has to move it in a downward direction. The seat will move by making movement with your feet on the plate for the feet.

The Minivator 2000 model and Minivator 2000 stair lift also has levers that are operated manually on the two sides of the unit which the user can operate with a pull action going upwards. The seat can be moved by applying pressure on the plate for the feet and at the same time turning the body in the right direction.

There are some users who seem to have a hard time swiveling the seat in a manual fashion so the 2000 model and the 1000 model can have a swivel that can run on power. This is very ideal for users who have conditions that may degenerate their abilities. This is easier to manage since pressure is the factor needed so the toggle will start and upon reaching the top or the end it can rotate itself on its own and it stops facing the area of landing. This is done in the opposite way when going down.

The track that has hinges is also a common feature of a Minivator stair lift. There are homeowners with a hallway that tends to obstruct the landing and in this situation the track usally obstructs the way because it is fronting the way to the door. The Minivator Company has overcome this common problem by introducing the track with hinge. It is foldable after usage or when no one is using it. This way there is still enough space to get to the door.

The Minivator Simplicity model 950 on the other hand has a hinge that is operated manually. The user should move it in an upward direction or downwards. If it is raised the whole unit can be positioned easily because of the hinge that is operated in a manual fashion making the lift quicker. If the unit is in a lifted position parking of it can be done on any portion of the rail. The user can do this with the remote. This remote is the same thing that can be used in calling the unit to go downstairs after lowering the track.

The Minivator model- 1000 and model – 2000 stair lifts may also come with a track with hinge that is operated manually which works in the same way but the unit is parked by pushing a button on the remote that is meant for that command.

The hinge rail can also be powered eliminating the need of the user to have to bend down to raise and lower it. The remote can be pushed so it can be lowered and raised. This alternative is available for the Minivator 2000 and 1000.

It is a fact that stairlifts are commonly used for shorter periods of time. However Minivator still offer their consumers more choices for their seats so they can have the comfortable and attractive seat they desire. All the seats are designed to take three times the weight limit of the stairlift. The toggle can positioned for more support when the user gets out of the unit.
